I can stare at these fuzzy dice all day
As they hang and dangle their life away
I can memorize all the names in the telephone book
I can grovel on the ground on my knees I'll pray
But this blood on my hands still won't wash away
And this heavy metal cross that is chained to my neck
Drags my nose in the ground and keeps my attitude meek
This burden on my back is mixing acid in the flak
My never-ending stack of sins is pulling in the slack
While wild blood thirsty villains rid my pockets of their gold
My tale of grief and strife may never live long to be told
Take it slow and educate the young and old
Or they'll never know , they'll never know
Take it slow and educate the young and old
Or they'll never know what that burning shard of steel
Sticking out of their heart is called
In this high society where I stay
I can hang and dangle my life away
I've a birds eye view of the town where my mind was opened
When those spikes were pounded in my palms my sanity frayed
I've got a crystal clear vision of the alley where we played
These tattered robes and flattered troves
Propane stoves and garlic cloves
Can close my eyes and tear my clothes
I'll never care, I'll never know
Take it slow and educate the young and old
Or they'll never know , they'll never know
Take it slow and educate the young and old
Or they'll never know what that burning shard of steel
Sticking out of their heart is called
